With Japanese organizing guru, Marie Kondo.

meet emi.

Hello and welcome. And if you’re new here, I’m Emi.

I’m a professional home organizer, a Blisshaus Stylist, and a Master KonMari Consultant teaching Marie Kondo’s KonMari Method®.

I love creating spaces that are efficient and beautiful, but that doesn’t mean I have a shiny, perfect life, or expect you to either. I believe that what matters isn’t how many shoes or books you have, but how your shoes and books make you feel.

I’m passionate about helping women and families take back their homes and let go of clutter and emotional weight that comes with it, so that they can focus on living life with more joy and intention.

I believe in letting go responsibly—wherever I can, I strive to give back to our communities and incorporate environmentally sustainable practices into my work.

I’m also a mom and a wife. I love yoga, houseplants, dark chocolate, and shoes! I was born and raised in California (Bay Area!), and recently (re-)relocated to Japan.

my story.

I was born with the organizing gene.

When I was three, I earned the “Librarian’s Award” for creating a catalog system for our preschool library.

But in spite of my DNA, I was somehow always drowning in clutter.

Somehow, I had missed the memo about letting go.

After a lifetime of tucking things away because they were “special” or because I might need them “someday,” my closets and cabinets were overflowing.

I was overwhelmed and exhausted by work, family and “too much stuff.” All I could think about was how I desperately wanted to organize my life.

I was also a pack rat. And for years, I was sure that all I needed were better organizing supplies, or a more efficient organizing system.

I convinced myself that if I just had the right hangers, boxes and bins, all of my problems would be solved.

Being a perfectionist, I constantly second-guessed myself and my decisions. I knew I was holding myself back, but I was afraid of making mistakes or making decisions that I would regret.

Marie Kondo's KonMari Method® helped me overcome indecision, and finally let go of the excess and all of its accompanying guilt and fear.

Freeing myself from physical and emotional clutter equated to a tidy home, more time to spend with the people I love, and more clarity to focus on what truly sparks joy for me.

When I discovered Blisshaus, I fell in love with its mission to help busy families live beautifully and simply, while reducing their impact on the planet. I’m not fully zero-waste or plastic-free, but believe that together we can make a difference.

I see business as a force for good and welcome clients of all backgrounds, with empathy, compassion and without judgement. I am committed to helping you declutter sustainably, and I donate a percentage of profits to organizations that support my values of education, equity, empowerment and sustainability.

As a Master KonMari Consultant, a Blisshaus Stylist and a Professional Home Organizer, I’m passionate about helping my clients let go of physical and mental clutter so that they can make space for more peace, joy and intention in their lives.
